Mesa’s Asian District celebrated another major milestone with the grand opening of the Mekong Plaza Expansion, marking a new chapter of growth and cultural vibrancy in the community. Mayor of Mesa, Mark Freeman, praised the development as a strong reflection of hard work, entrepreneurship, and meaningful partnerships that continue to make Mesa “a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
The new expansion adds 32,000 square feet of space, welcoming 12 new businesses and creating approximately 200 new jobs—a significant boost to local families, small businesses, and the city’s economy. The grand opening drew an enthusiastic crowd excited to explore the newest additions to the plaza. The expanded lineup includes:
